Uplift '73 - Windber Non Profit Fund

​This community service organization originates from a the Windber Area High School Class of 1973 effort to provide funds to families in crisis, senior scholarships, and other philanthropic activities in Windber and the surrounding communities.

Jenni lived in Montgomery County, Maryland for the first 25 years of her life. She had Spina bifida, although her disability did not hold her back in anything in life. She was active in drama, her church and was a lifetime member of Girl Scouts, where she earned the Gold Award. Jenni was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution where she was selected as Outstanding Jr Member in 2023. She obtained a driver’s license and drove herself to community college. She enjoyed skiing, sled hockey, horseback riding, her dog Zoey, music, movies, anything Harry Potter, shopping, friends and family.

Jenni was an inspiration to all who met her and accomplished tremendous achievements with a great wonderful smile while running around in her bright pink wheelchair. Jenni has shown us love in so many ways. Her motto was “Find Joy in the Journey.”
